Some of Gen Z is reportedly moving away from monogamy. A recent study by family law and divorce specialist Rayden Solicitors found that 42% of 18-24-year-olds think monogamy just isn’t a realistic goal anymore. Between shifting gender roles in relationships, rising cost of living, and an overall sense that traditional paths aren’t working out, some young people are rethinking whether one partner forever makes sense, too. YPulse data shows similar patterns: nearly half (47%) of Gen Z believes it’s possible to be in multiple committed relationships at once. However, it’s more favored among young men, with 34% of 18-24-year-old males saying they believe it’s possible to love more than one person simultaneously, compared to 26% of females in the same age group.
