Live games of the Tomorrow Golf League, for indoor golf simulator players, launched on ESPN this week.Β By using advanced tech like shot-tracing and rotating greens, TGL aims to have all the appeal of a real golf game, but in just two hours. And while it might sound unusual, the teams are backed by well-known investors and professional golfers, including Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. The competitions feature a unique format that includes both alternate shot and one-on-one challenges and are even played on the same sand and grass as standard courses. Six teams are scheduled to compete over the next 15 weeks for a $21M prize fundβall in hopes of attracting a wider audience by presenting golf in a fresh and exciting way. (Sports Illustrated)
