For Millennials, employers have significant room for improvement in supporting onsetting experiences with menopause. Each year, menopause impacts 47M women, contributing to $150 billion in lost productivity according to Maven Clinic. But despite this, many employers are not offering sufficient support. As a result, nearly one in six Millennials affected by menopause symptoms have chosen to transition to less demanding roles, 30% have shied away from new projects, and almost 20% report being unable to attend in-person work. And this situation even prevents 60% of Millennials affected from discussing their symptoms with doctors due to concerns about missing work. But more than three-quarters of Millennials express that menopause benefits would greatly enhance their desire to remain with their current employer, and also help them perform better at the company when experiencing these symptoms.
