Gen Z were labeled job-hoppers, but 20-somethings actually love their average, stable jobs. While the Great Resignation became a defining moment for young workers (in older gens’ eyes, at least), these employees now seem to be happily promoting full-time office work. In fact, Gen Z employees, defined as 27-years-old-and-younger, are staying in White Collar jobs “18% longer than millennials did in their first seven years in the workforce.” Now, amid a tough hiring environment, they’re part of “the great stay,” and social media content from corporate influencers promotes the bright sides of life at the office. And really, the mundane parts that young people are finding appreciation for: getting dressed nicely, lunch with coworkers, and yes, the Diet Coke break. (WSJ)
