Schools across the U.S. are implementing new bans to keep Gen Z focused.

Schools across the U.S. are implementing new bans to keep Gen Z focused. Limiting smartphones in classrooms isn’t new or even uncommon, but more methods are being implemented to keep kids off their phones. Though few schools have complete bans on their presence, many other schools are moving to keeping phones out of classrooms or using magnetized pouches that only can only be unlocked at certain times. But that’s not the only ban Gen Z may face: some schools are adding new dress code policies banning items like hoodies or crocs to “reduce distractions.” In one case, a Texas school is banning all-black outfits, noting they may reflect a negative mental state. Another unique change comes from one school in Alabama which has chosen to remove mirrors from bathrooms, discouraging spending time in them. (CNN)
