Gen Z is also most likely to be thinking of leaving their current jobs. A new Bankrate report found 25% of all working Americans say they’re likely to look for a new job in the next year, but 39% of Gen Z adults said so—far more than older gens individually. However, some experts think their likelihood of actually quitting may be lower than this intended rate of job searching, especially given a slower job market than in 2022’s “Great Resignation.” Newsweek reports younger gens are also more likely to say they’re planning to ask for a raise in the coming year, which 43% of all workers surveyed said, perhaps in order to avoid leaving in a market where they’re more concerned about job security than in previous years.
