Secret deodorant is helping Gen Z become more financially literate. The personal care brand is pledging to “provide 1 million women with access to financial courses and training resources” in a new multi-year initiative. April is known as Financial Literacy Month and Secret is mainly gearing this opportunity toward Gen Z women and women of color who are just kicking off their careers and are looking for financial advice. Secret will be reaching them through social media using the #SecretMoneyMoves hashtag and their content will include posts that “address prominent financial questions, like how to create a budget, negotiate your first salary and understand your credit score.” YPulse’s Finance / Spending Monitor report data shows that a third of Gen Z women agree: “I’m interested in getting a financial advisor because I haven’t managed my spending appropriately.” (Glossy)
