Entering an economic disaster could lead to “lasting scars” for young adults. Many college graduates this year are entering the job market “at the worse time” as they’re already being saddled with debt and have little experience. YPulse’s exclusive COVID research found that 54% of 13-39-year-olds are afraid of the economy crashing—and starting a new career during an economic crisis puts them at a “lasting disadvantage.” Those without college degrees are even more vulnerable, and many are worried they may never “catch up in pay, opportunities or confidence.” Even post-pandemic, the aftershocks from the crisis are likely to “ripple across society far into the future.” (NYTimes)
