A poll shows most teens know fake news is out there, and about half believe they know it when they see it. Even among those who hadn’t heard the term “fake news,” 66% believed most news articles aren’t true. When asked what they’d do after spotting a fake story, 62% said they’d ignore it, but a full third of those surveyed said they’d “call them out.” But fake news isn’t coming to an end at the hands of Gen Z quite yet—another survey showed Americans can be fooled by fake headlines 75% of the time.
