A digital divide among kids is quickly narrowing, and a new study reports finding “almost universal exposure, early adoption, and use of mobile media devices among young children in an urban, low-income, minority community.” Of 350 families in a low-income neighborhood, 97% had televisions, 83% had tablets, 77% had smartphones, and 56% had video game consoles. The findings indicate that device use could be a universal element of growing up today. (CBC)
