Unlike previous gens settling down, getting married, or starting families in their 20s, many twentysomethings today aren’t partnered at all yet. Why? YPulse’s Dating and Relationships report shows 77% of 20-29-year-olds agree, “Dating is more difficult than it was in the past.” And it’s not just dating apps to blame—their dating lives are being shaped by bigger cultural changes: declining sexual activity, rising rates of childfree living, and widening political and social gender divides.
