Tweens may be growing up glued to their screen, but they’re not just iPad kids. Sure, they’ve had access to tech, social media, video games, and the internet since day one, and that’s definitely shaped how they spend their time. But despite the assumptions, they’re not spending every waking moment scrolling or gaming. YPulse’s Tween Study shows that most tweens are involved in variety of activities—they’re playing sports, getting involved in extracurriculars, and yes, still making time to hang out with their friends and family IRL. For brands, understanding what tweens find fun requires real insight, both because their habits are very different from older gens and it determines how brands can connect with them.   Some of the activities tweens do for fun are tied to school, but when they get to choose how to spend their fun time, their interests are all over the map.
