Currently, “tomato girl” is the hottest look, with its bold red colors and vintage Italian accessories like headscarves, rosy blush, sea-salt sprayed hair, and statement sunglasses. But it’s also more than just the fashion, being a “tomato girl” is about embracing a carefree summer vibe and embodying a personality that’s as bold as the color of the fruit. On the other hand, the “lemon girl” aesthetic “focuses on a refreshing lemon yellow palette, flowy fabrics, crotchet bags, and soft lines….[and the] makeup is glowy and fresh-faced,” according to BuzzFeed. Ultimately, the trend takes cues from Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl Summer” and Gen Z’s love for location-based aesthetics.
