YPulse has long said Gen Z and Millennials are generations of social activists, and how demonstrating for causes they care about is an important part of their culture. In our WE Causes / Charity & Activism Report, YPulse dug into how young consumers take part in protests, and comparing the data across all five countries in Western Europe reveals an especially high level of activism among young Spanish consumers. It shows in how many young Europeans of each country tell YPulse they’ve taken part in a social demonstration: Young Spanish people are more activated than their neighbors Almost three in five young consumers in Spain have taken part in a protest, march, or other social demonstration (57%). Young Italians are the cloeest in likelihood to have attended a social demonstration at 45%, while only 23% of young people in the U.K. say they have.
