The 2016 Olympics in Rio kicks off next week and will take over screens all around the world—but will Millennials and teens be watching? Young consumers are a key audience for the games, with many marketers spending to reach them, and counting on their viewership. This year, NBC paired with BuzzFeed to get young viewers excited for the Olympics and continue the upward trend of viewership among young audiences. Their enthusiasm is key, and our recent survey delved into exactly what they think of the upcoming event. We asked 1000 13-33-year-olds all about their Olympic plans and views, to find out who’ll be tuning in, what screens they’ll be looking at, what athletes they want to see, and more. Here’s just some of what we found…
