Are you ready for some football (brand data)? To celebrate the start of the 2021 NFL season, we looked at the YPulse Brand Tracker to see how the league is performing with Gen and Millennial consumers in North America.

Despite the popular narrative that they are abandoning sports in droves, young people are sports fans. Period. More than three in five 13-39-year-olds consider themselves a sports fan, making the generations even more likely than Gen Xers and Boomers to show an interest in sports—and their sports fandom is not limited to older males. While Millennial males are the most likely group to be a sports-devotees (at 78%), the majority of Gen Z males and Millennial females also consider themselves a fan of sports.
