In a now-deleted exchange, influencer Allina Ai (@allina_ai) showed off her outfit in a TikTok with the caption, “when she tries to copy my style but doesn’t know this will cause bankruptcy.” But that prompted thrift-focused creator Tea Maisel (@teabby) to fire back with the now-viral comment, “unfortunately I’m a thrift god I can replicate ur outfit after two weeks at the bins I fear.” Ai clapped back with, “Isabel Marant ain’t at the bins I fear,” only for Maisel to respond, “It is I fear,” alongside a photo of what appeared to be the exact same blouse in the bins, as she predicted.
