How Will Gen Z Watch the 2026 Super Bowl?

The Super Bowl has had trouble capturing young viewers in recent years, even when accounting for how many stream it in addition to cable viewers. Still, most Gen Z and Millennials do plan to watch the Super Bowl this Sunday. YPulse’s exclusive data shows 68% of 13-39-year-olds are planning on watching the Super Bowl in 2026, just as many as those who said they would watch last year. Interest among age groups is nearly equal as well, with 65% of 13-17-year-olds, 66% of 18-24-year-olds, and 70% of 25-39-year-olds planning to watch. When YPulse asked about the pop culture moments Gen Z and Millennials were looking forward to in 2026, nearly a quarter of 18-24-year-olds said sports events—the Super Bowl included. YPulse’s Sports and Athletes data shows that 66% of 13-39-year-olds identify as sports fans. And, of course, this group is more likely to be tuning in—though not by much.
