A viral TikTok showing Chili’s catered a wedding ignited a full-blown marketing campaign  Last month, bridal vlogger Madison Mulkey shared her unique experience of hiring Chili’s to cater her wedding on TikTok. In her video, Mulkey displayed the receipt for her wedding’s food bill, revealing exactly why she chose Chili’s over a traditional catering company. She expressed her satisfaction with her decision, highlighting the affordable price (coming in at less than $2K for about 100 guests) and the quality of the meals.  Mulkey’s TikTok video gained significant traction, accumulating over 2.1M views—even catching the attention of Chili’s themselves and marketing agency Mischief, who’s worked with the chain before. Mischief jumped on the opportunity to leverage the viral moment and promote Chili’s as an actual wedding caterer. To capitalize on this newfound status, Chili’s and Mischief came up with a marketing stunt announcing a giveaway promotion: the first three couples to get engaged at a Chili’s restaurant would receive free catering for their wedding.
