The problem of cyberbullying is sadly still present among Millennials as we recently reaffirmed in our Lifeline Report on Risky Business. The majority of Millennials have had some involvement in cyberbullying, whether as a victim, by association, or as the perpetrator. Fully 7 in 10 Millennials think that cyberbullying is just as serious as bullying in person, yet they’re still engaging in this cruel behavior with 23% saying they’ve posted something online that they’d never say to someone’s face and a third have shared something bad that was posted about someone else. Yet despite the upsetting nature of these results, it’s encouraging to know that 58% of teens and 27% of older Millennials have done something to bring attention to anti-bullying. We just hope others follow after their example…
