The public figures Gen Z trusts aren’t the same as previous gens, who often turned to the most recognizable figures—news anchors, actors, or other mainstream celebs—for credibility. Instead, their give their trust to the public figures who feel authentic and relevant to them, not simply those  with biggest following or the most fame. Read: influencers, of any size and any name recognition.   In YPulse’s Celebrities and Influencers survey, we ask 13-39-year-olds which public figures they trust most, from a list of over 20 groups, including everyone from police officers to athletes, and of course, online creators. It’s a question we’ve asked for years, and allows us to see how trust changes over time—both as Gen Z gets older and compared to previous gens at the same age.
