The once-iconic fashion retailer is now joining the graveyard of fallen Millennial brands like Party City and Bed Bath and Beyond. For many 20 and 30-somethings, Forever 21 was a shopping rite of passage—an unpredictable treasure hunt of trendy (and sometimes questionable) finds. So in true Gen Z fashion, they’re mourning the loss of the store on social media. One X user summed it up saying, “What I loved about Forever 21 is that I never knew what I was going to get in terms of quality. I owned tops that disintegrated after two washes, and yet I have leggings from there that have stood the test of time for ten years. Complete and utter chaos. I’ll miss it.” And others are reeling the emptiness of their childhood F21 stores....
