Online donations have increased by 10% over the last few years, thanks in some cases to transparency. Charity Watsi.com has found success by showing donors pictures of each individual person who needs life-saving care. According Watsi: “In a world where Google and Wikipedia have made information so readily available…we expect to see where [our money is] going and what it’s doing.” This growing trend means charities need to optimize: 80% still don’t have the ability to accept donations on tablets or smartphones.
