Instagram Reels is better for brands, but TikTok still reigns for top influencers. According to a Markerly study which analyzed 80 influencers and 10 brands across TikTok and Instagram, the firm reports that Reels is currently the best place for brands, but TikTok has become the “queen of influencer and celebrity culture.” During the study, celebs and influencers received almost “double the likes and engagements” on TikTok compared to Reels. Meanwhile, when the NBA shared the same post on both platforms, they received over 63K likes on TikTok and 425K likes on Reels. Despite the contrasts, one analyst said that brands and influencers should still continue to “cross-post” to “improve brand visibility over time.” (Forbes)
