Instagram is reportedly working on a standalone shopping app. The app will be for ecommerce only, providing a space for users to browse and purchase products from businesses that they follow. Instagram already has some features to up their Shoppability, like product tags across posts and stories, but a dedicated app could further drive revenue—and keep users who want Instagram to stay commerce-free happy.
