Do Young Consumers Love or Hate Streaming Bundles?

Streamers are offering bundled services to keep customers around, but will Gen Z and Millennials buy into the new cable?

It seems every streaming giant has been announcing partnerships with one another lately, bundling their services into one lump price—whether their viewers want all these libraries in one platform or not. And as more come out, combining platforms that offer movies with sports channels and others boasting classic reruns, doesn’t it all just start to sound like cable? Gen Z and Millennials think so anyway: 80% agree, “Streaming services bundles are just the new cable,” according to YPulse’s most recent Media Consumption report. But even though these gens have notoriously cut the cord in favor of streaming, bundles looking like the new cable doesn’t seem to bother them.  As it stands now, YPulse data shows Gen Z and Millennials watch content from an average of three different streaming services every week, and the majority say they will pay for a new streaming service just because their favorite show moves there.
