AOL has appointed Stephane Panier as head of Bebo’s global operations, responsible for scaling the social media network’s operations, advancing its global reach, and delivering an exemplary user experience to the company’s 24 million* global consumers. Panier was previously VP and COO of Bebo. In his new role, Panier will report directly to Jon Brod, Executive Vice President, AOL Ventures. (press release)

Hasbro appoints Stephen J. Davis to the newly created position of President, Hasbro Studios. The new L.A.-based studio will produce TV series based on Hasbro’s brands, new branded content and produce programs from third party content creators. Davis will begin his new position in September. Premise Youth Marketing, which specializes in integrating brands into youth culture. announced that Aaron C. Smith has joined the team as VP of Client Services. Smith has spearheaded the re-branding of such established companies as “Maybelline New York,” Mail Boxes Etc. (now UPS Store) and SHARP Healthcare. (press release)

Nick Lake has been named editorial director at HarperCollins Children’s. He had been commissioning editor there. Rachel Denwood has been named fiction publishing director at HarperCollins Children’s. She had been editorial director there. Kate Burns has been named deputy publisher at Harper UK Children’s. She had been publisher director at Orchard. Pandora Media hired Sean Duggan as eastern regional vice president of sales. Duggan joins the company from MySpace at Fox Interactive Media where he was director of east coast sales. (MediaPost, reg. required)

Michael Jay Solomon, founder and Chairman/CEO of Telepictures Corporation, which is credited with creating TV syndication in the U.S., has been named Chairman of The Board of Getfugu, Inc. the next generation mobile search tool. (press release)

Veteran exec and producer Bruna Papandrea has joined Ashton Kutcher’s Katalyst Films as head of film production, part of the banner’s move to ramp up production of mid-budget features. (Variety)

Jeff Shaivitz was named west coast senior sales manager at CollegeHumor. (MediaPost, reg. required)

Anne Mullen is upped to SVP/On-Air Creative Strategy, Nickelodeon. She will oversee on-air creative for Nickelodeon, including Nick Jr. and Nick at Nite, on-air promotion and brand communication with the network’s programming, brand marketing and digital teams, as well as working with senior creative team to develop a strategy for the whole Kids and Family Group TV channels and websites. Most recently she had been VP/Preschool Production, and previously worked for Sundance and Razorfish. (Cynopsis Kids)

Former MTV Networks chief operating officer Mark Rosenthal has joined Current Media as CEO, while company co-founder Joel Hyatt, who had been serving as CEO, has moved over to become vice chairman of the company. (Variety)
