Avi Arad, formerly CCO/Marvel Entertainment and Chairman and CEO/Marvel Studios, will serve as an Executive Advisor for Namco Bandai Group. Arad also previously served as Consultant and Director/Toy Biz, and is currently Chairman/Arad Productions. (Cynopsis Kids)

Another departure from MySpace in the wake of CEO Owen Van Natta’s firing two weeks ago. The latest to leave is Chris Bissell, MySpace’s Chief Software Architect, who has been with the company for over four years. (TechCrunch)

Just minutes after news broke that Media Source Inc. had acquired Library Journal and School Library Journal, Publishers Weekly has announced two big changes: "New order at PW: Jim Milliot and Michael Coffey named co-editorial directors, Cevin Bryerman new publisher." (GalleyCat)

Tom Purcell has been promoted to executive producer of Comedy Central hit show "The Colbert Report." He previously served as co-executive producer. (THR)

Sean Haggerty will be joining Twitter’s fast-growing mobile team. At LinkedIn, Haggerty built apps for the iPhone, Pre and the BlackBerry. He also helped build the Buzz application that let companies scan information about them on yes, Twitter…Taylor Singletary, a LinkedIn evangelist and product manager will apparently be doing API evangelism at Twitter. Liz Rosenberg, longtime publicity exec at Warner Bros. Records, is leaving to form her own praisery, Liz Rosenberg Media, the label announced Tuesday. (Variety, reg. required)

MTV president of programming Tony DiSanto has promoted Chris Linn to the post of executive VP of MTV Production. He will continue to report directly to DiSanto and be based in New York. Linn, most recently senior VP of production, series development and animation, will directly support DiSanto in the strategic management and execution of production, as well as development of content. MTV Networks announced two promotions in its digital-ad-sales sector: Suzanne McDonnell to senior vice president of its Digital Fusion unit, and Heather Hopkins to senior VP of marketing and sales development. (WebNewser)

Rebecca Brown has been named associate editor at MTV.com. She had been freelancing at Seventeen.com. (Mediabistro, reg. required)

M43 AG names Bernd Conrad as its new Head of Licensing. Conrad takes up his new position on March 1 and will be responsible for m4e's licensing management, including its newest owned/produced TV series that will be distributed worldwide in cooperation with Rainbow S.p.A., Yoko, Mo & Me (working title).
