MTV has named Jose Tillan general manager and exec VP of Latino-focused MTV Tr3s, assigning him the task of overseeing content strategy and the development of branded entertainment. Also, MTV Networks International promoted Sofia Ioannou to managing director of MTV Networks Latin America, succeeding Pierluigi Gazzolo who was appointed chief operating officer for MTVNI. Brunico Communications has promoted Jocelyn Christie to Publisher, KidScreen. An 11-year veteran of KidScreen, Christie most recently served as Editor and Director of Events, which includes responsibility for the annual KidScreen Summit. (release via KidScreen News)
Louise Bucknole has been appointed Head of Scheduling, BBC Children’s. Bucknole, who was previously with Disney Channel as Sr. Manager/Program Planning, takes over for Philip Stagg, who is now Head/Planning and Scheduling, BBC HD channel. (Cynopsis Kids)
Josalyn Moran has been named children’s publishing director at Chronicle Books. She had been vice president of children’s books at Barnes and Noble. (Publishers Lunch via MediaBistro, reg. required)
Alan Citron has been named president of Buzz Media. Citron served as a senior advisor to Buzz Media (formerly Buzznet) since August 2008. Prior to that, he was the founding general manager of TMZ. (MediaPost, reg. required)
Jessica Moore has been named editor and publisher at Teen Voices. She had been managing editor, digital media at Sesame Workshop. (MediaBistro, reg. required)
Former Lucasfilm Animation exec Catherine Winder has joined Rainmaker Entertainment as prexy of the Vancouver-based animation studio. (Variety)
Mireille Grangenois has been named publisher at The Chronicle of Higher Education. She had been former vice president of advertising at The Baltimore Sun. (FBDC via MediaBistro, reg. required)
