MySpace Music, the joint venture between MySpace and the major labels to provide free streaming music to users, is announcing its executive team… The key new executives are Jamie Kantrowitz (SVP Strategy and Global Marketing), Alex Maghen (CTO), Nancy Taylor (Lead Counsel, VP Business Development & Legal Affairs), Roberto Fisher (VP Product and Operations) and Frank Hajdu (Executive Director, Strategy & Business Development) (TechCrunch)

John Hardie, the EVP and MD, Disney EMEA TV operations, exits the company to become the CEO of the UK’s ITN, a news and content provider that supplies news to ITV and Channel 4, per Variety. At Disney Hardie was Chairman, Super RTL (Germany), a board member of RTL2 and CEO of Jetix NV. (Cynopsis Kids)

Alexandra Cooper has been named senior editor at Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing. (Publishers Lunch, reg. required)

Joan Lambur expands her role at Breakthrough Films & Television. Lambur, who was tapped to head the company’s new live-action kid and family division in January, will now also lead its animation division. In her newly expanded role, the creative Lambur will supervise development and production of all new animated and live-action kids’ and family series, as well as overseeing licensing and merchandising opportunities for Breakthrough’s properties. Debra Lande is named Publisher, Klutz. Lande takes up her new post at the end of the month, and will report to Ellie Berger, President/Trade Publishing, Scholastic, and will work in tandem with John Cassidy, CCO/Klutz. Most recently, Lande was Director/Production Innovation, Chronicle Books. (Publishers Weekly)

John Fraser is named VP/Sales & Marketing, Kidz Bop. He will work out of the company’s NYC headquarters. Prior to Kidz Bop, Fraser was the VP/Marketing, Classic Media, and before that he was SVP/Advertising Sales, Promotions & Brand Management, Marvel Entertainment. (Cynopsis Kids)

Activision Publishing names Dan Rosensweig as President and CEO, RedOctane, the unit that develops the Guitar Hero and upcoming DJ Hero. Formerly COO, Yahoo!, Rosensweig will report directly to Mike Griffith, President and CEO, Activision Publishing. (PaidContent)

Jane Nussbaum has been named senior editor at Parents. She had been features editor at Seventeen. (mediabistro)

Todd Herman,
former Microsoft and MSNBC.com employee and streaming media expert, has been named the Director of New Media for the Republican National Committee. (TechCrunch)

Interactive One — the digital division of African-American-focused multimedia company Radio One — has named former Napster executive David Wolfe as its new chief product and operating officer. (MediaPost, reg. required)
