This week's new job is from Josten's (you know, where your class ring probably came from) and is up in Minneapolis. They're looking for a Senior Manager, Market Intelligence. Here's the job description:

This position provides overall leadership of the market intelligence function for Jostens, and strategic consultation with leaders and marketing management for business divisions. Responsbilties include direct, end-to-end market intelligence support for P&P and EMO business from ideation to strategy to execution, indirect market intelligence support for Scholastic and College businesses via Specialists who will execute research requirements from those businesses. This includes knowledge and experience working with general consumer level reserach, teen market insights, and diverse markets.

Based on articulated business objectives and budget from P&P and EMO manager will:

* Design studies for actionable results
* Execute internally, or source and manage research vendors to ensure quality
* Review, analyze and interpret results, drawing conclusions against research objectives and forming recommendations for the business
* Develop approach for presentation and deliver research report

Responsibilities also include coaching and management of market intelligence activities of Specialists, including:

* Distributing and prioritizing work, assigning resources as needed
* Coach Specialists in research execution and findings reports
* Review and approve analysis and reports from Specialists
* Identify list of pre-approved vendors to support Specialists in sourcing data as needed
* Create presentation approach framework to support presentation of findings consistently, whether from self or Specialists
* Provide support on both ideation/market insights, as well as competitive intelligence, as required by business divisions, either directly or via Specialists

This position will also provide support on new product and/or business development efforts through EMO and manage the market intelligence annual budget.
