If you're a graphic designer, this has to be one of the coolest jobs out there — designing Shojo Beat magazine, one of the hottest manga mags for teen girls. Here's the full description from Viz Media:

Shojo BeatWe are looking for a Lead Designer to join our Magazines department! This designer will lead the visual direction of Shojo Beat magazine, whose audience is young women into manga and Japanese pop culture.

Print magazine experience is STRONGLY PREFERRED.

SUMMARY
The Lead Designer is a core member of the team that produces Shojo Beat, a monthly mass-market print publication that just celebrated its second anniversary. The Lead Designer oversees the visual aesthetic of the magazine and develops, in coordination with the editorial staff, styles and templates that the department's designers follow.

Shojo Beat magazine covers manga, the explosive publishing phenomenon, and Japanese pop culture, with an emphasis on style, travel, food and music.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1. In collaboration with Senior Editor and Editor-in-Chief, the Lead Designer develops styles, layouts and designs for the covers and interior pages of Shojo Beat magazine.

2. Lead Designer implements design concepts with Magazines team, maintaining visual continuity and excellence by working closely with support Designers.

3. Lead Designer recruits and interacts on a regular basis with freelance artists, photographers, stylists and other design professionals, as well as with prepress and printers, the latter two in coordination with the magazine's Managing Editor.

4. The Lead Designer works with other related departments, including marketing and advertising, to facilitate unified approaches to magazine product management, presentation, and overall improvement thereof.

5. Lead Designer sometimes prepares designs and art work for internal and external promotional communications, advertising and publicity.
