    It’s fraudulent for a newspaper to present a blog-entry never sent to them as a Letter-to-the-Editor.

    People in Coalinga who were upset by Cynthia Moreno’s statements might have been less upset if they had known the real context.

    The Letters Page Editor was fired:

    The newspaper, The Coalinga Record also declined to comment, but the paper’s former editor tells me she was fired for printing Moreno’s myspace entry in the paper last year.

    Ideally, the legal case would have been over the newspaper misleading the public by implying Cynthia Moreno had sent a letter she never sent instead of over privacy.
