LaurenLC the new face of Avon's mark (this is pretty big news for Lauren Conrad: "Lauren will be featured in the brand's magalog (a combination magazine and catalog reaching over six million customers every month), and in the online community. Future plans include the development of exclusive co-branded items that will be available through mark Representatives…") (press release)

- MTV tries to rewrite the 'Rules' (hopes interactive version of the show will woo the college crowd now that Nielsen is measuring them) (MediaLife Magazine)

- Fergie is the new Candies girl (The Dutchess's first TV ad will debut during The Grammys)

- Is 'Betty's' brother Justin gay? (he's only 12 and definitely flamboyant, but the producers say "the idea for a boy who lives for musical theater and fashion was born more out of a need to counter Betty in a humorous and touching way than out of the desire to make headlines with TV's first mainstream gay child character." Plus Mexico's "La Fea Mas Bella" is giving "American Idol" a run for its money… ) (L.A. Times, reg. required) (Media Life Magazine)

- Can Cocktail connect? (when its desired twentysomething women are mostly online) (AdAge.com, reg. required)

- Current gains more distribution (Current TV, where I used to work, just picked up more homes from EchoStar's DISH Network, which now makes the channel available in 38 million homes…They also just redesigned their homepage.)

I'm glad that "Current TV" is on DISH.

However, DISH shouldn't only make "Current TV" available to subscribers of their “America’s Top 200 with DishHD” package.
