Boys in CrisisBoys in crisis (Newsweek follows up on similar themes to The New Republic piece I mentioned last week about the widening educational gap between girls and boys)

- Strapped (USA Today reviews the new book [and provides an excerpt] claiming twenty and thirtysomthings are suffering in today’s economy…Recently blogged Slate’s critique of this book)

- College kids see dead people (or at least don’t deny the existence of the paranormal) (Space.com via Yahoo! News)

- The secret to ‘Swim’s’ success (a good primer piece on Cartoon Network’s “Adult Swim” block and how it all began) (The Macon Telegraph)

- Blinding them with science (cool new science site for Canadian youth)

- Vote for Noodles! (in the Best Teen Blog category for the Bloggies – a great look at a 17-year-old teens “so-called life” in Singapore)

- CC4G (a cool UK initiative designed to get more girls interested in IT [information technology] careers…Thanks Stephanie!)

    Regarding this suggestion from “Strapped:”

“Banding together to back reforms for a better U.S. society…hard work is rewarded with decent wages, college is more affordable, and first-time home buyers get a break.”

John Edwards of North Carolina seems to be the national politician who best understands these issues.
