Ypulse Essentials

MachinimaMake way for machinima (check out this new site from Lionhead Studios where you can create and upload machinima [mini-movies made with video game characters]…)

- Everyone wants to be like Myspace (including the other popular indie music site Pure Volume – Ypulse reader Dan pointed me to some sneak peek screen shots [more here] of their redesign and says of the changes: “[it's] sort of annoying to me because I prefer it [Pure Volume] because it loads up much faster because it has less ads and less bugs.”)

- American Airlines mag on ‘Billion Dollar Babies’ (best ways to reach them and where to draw the line) (via BrandNoise)

- Should advertisers fund content production? (philosophical debate brews over Mountain Dew’s snowboarding flick) (Newsweek)

- She’s an American girl…doll (tweens tuned in for “Felicity” plus the rest of Younger Viewers ratings wrap from Media Life magazine)

- Gen Y likes to experience their marketing (I’m always a little leery of commissioned research from an agency that does this type of marketing but here it is anyway) (press release)

- Teaching the Bible (The Bible in Humanities Perspective was one of my favorite classes at Antioch — now there’s a similar type of textbook that teaches the old, new and art/literature surrounding the “good book” for high school students) (Reuters)

- I would be mortified (if I read from my old high school diaries on stage…check out this cool production that does just that…it’s here in SF this weekend)

Hi there, i got here from Businessweek.com haven’t had time to check out the site yet but will do so over the next couple of hours. I am a 24 year old Singaporean guy interning in Silicon Valley and studying at Stanford. I am currently working on a project to maximize revenue for blogs like yours and bring them to a larger audience so they bring financial independence for you. Businessweek mentions that your blog is not financially independent but i am sure your efforts will pay off soon. All the best!
