Today’s Ypulse Books: Alli ‘Ristens’ To ‘Uglies’ Audiobook, New ‘Brisingr’ Video & More
Posted by anastasia on 09-08-2008We’re kicking off our new Monday/Wednesday posting schedule on the Ypulse Books Channel today with a new feature called AudioFile. In our first AudioFile, Alli muses over the experience of “reading” or “listening” and comes up with a new word to describe the experience. And in today’s Ypulse Book Essentials, you can follow the links to watch Christopher Paolini read from his new book Brisingr, learn about Penguin’s new global warming anthology and find out how librarians feel about McCain’s Veep pick Sarah Palin.

Another issue with Sarah Palin is that she is lying about the Bridge to Nowhere.
Sarah Palin said at the convention, “I told the Congress, ‘Thanks, but no thanks,” on that Bridge to Nowhere.’
In reality, she never told Congress not to spend money on the bridge.
She told the people in the Ketchikan, the town which would have gotten the bridge, that she supported building the bridge.
Congress decided on its own to give Alaska $223 million with the option of spending it on the Bridge to Nowhere or other projects.
Then Palin decided to spend the millions on other projects. The US taxpayers didn’t save money.
