I work at a University in Australia and use Facebook for both work and play. I'm responsible for some of our online comms with current and potential students. I think to communicate with Gen Y (or any other letter for that matter) it's important to understand the tools they use and the best way to do that is to use them yourself. I came via this job, not because I was a 'marketing expert' but because I play in the same space the students do... what that says about me, I'm not so sure!! Nice one Meg.
