Dream DefendersWith parents allowing looser rules over children’s media consumption in summer months (it’s no wonder kids dread fall and back-to-school time. During the summer, 49% of children watch more TV, 46% play more video games, 45% surf the Web more, and 44% watch more movies. Kids might want to watch a lot more TV come October, however, when 3Net, a partnership of Sony, Discover, and Imax, launches the first ever 3D block of kid’s programming. Called Three Dee Net, it will include “Bolts & Blips” and “Dream Defenders,” airing on Saturdays. In other TV news, as promised, “The 90s Are All That” is updating its lineup, replacing reruns of “Clarissa Explains It All” and “Doug” with “Rocko’s Modern Life” and “Hey Arnold!” per requests from the programming block’s Facebook page.
