Ann-Janine Murtagh rises to Publisher of HarperCollins Children’s Books UK division following the departure of Mario Santos in June. In addition to her publishing role, Murtagh will assume responsibility for the group’s business objectives. Alison Ruane has subsequently been promoted to Associate Publisher, where she will be responsible for providing a connection between editorial, sales, and marketing. Geraldine Stroud has been upped to PR Director and will be responsible for all external relations on behalf of the children’s division. (Via Kidscreen)
Michael D. Armstrong has been promoted to SVP-General Manager of BET International and Paramount Pictures Channels. Armstrong was appointed SVP-general manager of BET International in May 2006, and his duties expand to include the development of non-premium channels of Paramount Pictures in international markets. Prior to arriving at BET Networks, Mr. Armstrong held positions at MTV Networks. (Via Ad Age, reg required)

Nathan Coyle is named to the newly created position of General Manager at Cambio, the new teen/young-adult targeted interactive online entertainment network formed by AOL, MGX Lab, and the Jonas Group. He will oversee Cambio’s day-to-day business, including content production, web platform development, ad sales, and operations. Prior to this, Coyle was with Creative Artists Agency, where he served as a Business Development Agent, with a focus on digital content. (Via Cynopsis)
Loic Autret is appointed GM/Global Distribution for KidsCo. Autret is a former Disney executive and will head the distribution group in expanding the channel worldwide. Chris Nicholls is named Global head/Sales and Marketing for KidsCo. Nicholls had been an ESPN International executive and will oversee worldwide advertising and sponsorship, including localized media opportunities, regional sponsorships, and advertiser funded programming across KidsCo’s multimedia platforms.
