“Disney adults” are reshaping the future of the theme parks’ operation. This demographic of consumers’ spending power has been profound, with up to 40-50% of parkgoers being childless adults on a given day, according to a former Disney parks executive. As a result, Disney World has upgraded some of their experiences to cater to older consumers, such as launching upscale dining locations and high-tech rides that cater less to families and more to solo adults.
