Posted by meredith on 04-28-2010
Today we take another glimpse behind the scenes of our Ypulse Research division and meet panelist Peter Rolands, one of the thousands of college students in the expansive Ypulse network of collegians and high schoolers that our team taps for authentic insights on the youth market. Below we find out more about his dream gig, ideal dinner date and more!
Remember, you can subscribe to our monthly syndicated research report online or contact Ypulse President Dan Coates with inquiries for custom youth research and insights projects.
Hometown: Barnhart, MO
Current City: Columbia, MO
Dream City: Berlin, Germany
School: Mizzou
Major: Parks, Recreation, and Tourism
Interests: ROLLER DERBY, refereeing roller derby, and quad skates
Favorite meal (restaurant or homemade): My mom’s sweet and sour chicken
Ideal dinner companion and why: Heidi Klum! She’s my girl anyways, but she’s also an incredible woman with a lot of charisma and German heritage!
Dream jobs: Roller derby referee (even though they are all volunteer positions), roving interpreter at a zoo
What five items (gadgets, books, games, etc.) would you pick to endlessly amuse yourself on a desert island (there are electrical outlets there): Quad skates and flat land, stuff to cook with, Texas ties, a copy of Leaves of Grass, and a camera
Biggest perk of being a college student in 2010: Lots of people have gone and graduated before me, so there’s been a lot of time to pass down wisdom.
Biggest downside to being a college student in 2010: Being about to graduate! Federal and state jobs are hard enough to get anyways, but there aren’t any in this job market.
