Last Five Things… I Bought Online

Posted by meredith on 12-23-2008

Today we bring you the latest “Last Five Things” feature from Youth Advisory Board member Megan Reid. Just in time for the holidays, Meg interviewed other young people about “the last five things” they bought online. Remember, you can communicate directly with the Ypulse Youth Advisory Board by emailing them at youthadvisoryboard at ypulse.com Here’s what she found…

Last Five Things.. I Bought Online
In the spirit of holiday shopping, I asked my friends about their online shopping habits. Of course, this means that this “Last Five Things” skews a little bit older— just college students and recent grads this time. I, for one, only got my first “real” credit card this year!

There’s a cool mix of present-related shopping and everyday things. I’m a devoted online shopper for presents and clothes, but hearing others’ answers reminded me just how darn convenient it is to click “buy” online for smaller, everyday purchases, rather than actually looking through racks of CDs, braving the rain to get to my campus bookstore, or even walking over to the local pizza place. That said, I decided to include my own “Last Five Things” as well…

About Megan Reid
megMegan is a college student, freelancer and hardcore bookworm. She began writing fashion articles for her hometown newspaper at age 15, and her work has since appeared in publications like Boston magazine, Mountain Living and CosmoGirl. Meg also loves theatre and the arts, and when she’s not sending postcards, devouring YA novels, or reading up on 19th-century cultural studies, she’s probably dragging someone along on a late-night ice cream/Starbucks run. Meg has lived in three (soon to be four) countries and five states, though she currently resides in Arizona.
