He previously was the COO of TrueCar Inc., and has also held positions at Universal Studios, GeoCities, and WePlay, an online community he founded in a joint venture between Creative Artists Agency and Major League Baseball to promote active, healthy lifestyles for kids through sports. Entertainment and focus on growing NBCUniversal's TV networks online and across new media platforms. Random House announces two new hires as it launches a new arm, Random House Enterprises. Jo Edwards has been hired as Head of Licensing. She previously worked  as VP of International Consumer Products at Discovery Communications for 11 years where she developed licensing for toys, retail, clothing, electronics, live shows, and exhibitions. NASCAR has announced three new hires in an effort to appeal more towards youth and Hispanic fans. Greg Downey has been appointed Senior Director Brand and Consumer Marketing, David Zane will join as Director, Brand Marketing, and Joseph Machin is announced as Director, Multicultural Marketing, a newly created role. Downey previosuly was Group Director of Entertainment Marketing at Coca-Cola and had past roles as Vice President of Branded Entertainment at NBC Universal and Director of Entertainment Properties at United States Olympic Committee. Zane previously worked as Associate Director of Sports Marketing at ESPN where he led the development and implementation of marketing strategies for motorsports. Lastly, Machin has advised brands such as KFC Foods, Chevrolet, Nissan North American, and Terra Networks on their multicultural marketing efforts. (MediaPost)

Nickelodeon recently announced two new hires: David Steinberg as the SVP of Production at Nick Animation Studios and Jamie Drew as SVP of Strategy and Business Development for Nickelodeon Group. Steinberg, who formerally was studio head at Toronto's Starz Animation, wil lead all animation series production and digital initiatives, as wel as oversee studio operations. Drew, who's been with Nick for nine years, previously was VP of Strategy and Business Development, will support senior management in the development of strategy for Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, TeenNick, Nick Jr., Nicktoons, and Nick's consumer products, digital and recreation businesses, as well as serve as the main liaison to Viacom.
