Going to SXSW Interactive This Year? Vote For Ypulse
Posted by anastasia on 08-21-2007Going to SXSW is like going to a tech conference and a rock concert at the same time. The overlap of interactive and film means you get a great mix of geeks - both web and movies. This year will hopefully be my third SXSW Interactive conference — and this year, I've pitched two panel ideas. They're both teen panels — one focusing on general tech and the other for ScreenBurn, which would focus on video games. They're listed in the SXSW Panel Picker, where the community gets to vote on which panels they think should make the program. If you're planning on going, and want to hear from teens, vote for the Ypulse teen panels. We're also looking to throw a Ypulse evening event this year — maybe an early coffeehouse featuring some local teen musicians — if your company might be interesting in sponsoring, let us know.
On a separate conference planning note, since the Javits Center, where we're co-locating the Tween Mashup with Digital Life in September, is not the most intimate space to network in, we would like to plan a Ypulse Happy Hour after the conference. It would be free to go to (though Mashup attendees would get first preference on the RSVP list). I would like to have it at a west side spot like Bongo. Ideally somebody could sponsor so folks can have a free cocktail or two and some snacks. If any NYC agency or company would like to sponsor the post-Tween Mashup happy hour, please get in touch.
