Memo to the gaming industry. It’s 2009 and if you haven’t read the Pew report, everyone is playing video games, especially games like Guitar Hero and Rockband, which many teens, tweens and their parents enjoy playing together. I know there is still a hard core male gaming audience to please, but the idea of “booth babes” or in this case, naked girls in viral videos promoting the new Guitar Hero 5 just feels out of date and out of touch with how mainstream gaming has become. Yes, sex sells, but you don’t have to sell out your female Guitar Hero players to move units. More creativity please….
