Flip Video Sponsoring Cameras For Non-Profits

The folks at Flip Video sent me a note last week right before Thanksgiving asking if I could help them get the word out about their pro-social initiative. I don't think I've been this excited about posting something in a long time — the company will offer non-profit partners two camcorders for the price of one in order to document the work they’re doing. From their email to me:
"We are focused on getting the video technology of the Flip Video camcorder into as many nonprofit hands as possible. We are the charitable outreach of Pure Digital Technologies in San Francisco and our CEO committed to getting one million Flip camcorders out to charities and nonprofits by 2012."

And speaking of YouTube, we are finally working on a Ypulse YouTube page, which will be managed by the Ypulse Youth Editorial Board. Please email us with video suggestions to highlight and respond to, interesting youth-oriented viral videos and campaigns, etc. We're working with some of our YAB members on vlogging as well.
We also have a video internship opportunity — unfortunately, it's unpaid, but if any Ypulse readers know any students looking for experience editing video, we would love to cut down (into shorter videos) and transfer our existing Mashup video from Ypulse Casts to our YouTube channel. We also have footage of our Tween Mashup that has not been edited (intern would edit into short clips and post on our channel as well).
