Ypulse reader Kristin asked if I would post about this cool opportunity for teen filmmakers. For any of my youth media readers, high school teachers, librarians, etc., please help spread the word:

"The 2007 Movie Gallery Student Video Competition, sponsored by the Auburn University Department of Communication and Journalism and the Auburn Film Society, is gearing up for entries. The event, now in its 9th year, has grown from a few local entries to an international competition with films coming in from across the United States and Canada . The categories for competition include High School Videomaker and College Videomaker with a wide range of genres being accepted. Finalists are judged by professional filmmakers and media executives at the Jay Sanders Film Festival where the selected winners receive monetary prizes and trophies."
