2007 Mashup: Old School To New School

It’s time to revisit the “old school” media players from the 2007 Mashup — Viacom, Hearst, Conde Nast and Harper Collins to hear how they are changing and adapting to meet the needs of totally wired teens. This panel featured:

2007 Mashup: Me, danah And Henry

After posting the entire Music Mashup pre-conference we have now made it to the main event. The first part of this video is me rambling on about Ypulse, the conference and where the bathrooms were. You really do get to be a virtual attendee through these videos. Then comes the good part — it’s the beginning of our keynote conversation between danah boyd and Henry Jenkins where they discuss participatory culture and its role in transforming media and marketing beginning with those passionate Harry Potter fans.
