Breakin' 2 (kind of a repost)

The New York Times has a story today about the resurgence of break dancing so I went to search Ypulse for a past entry I did on this linking to a great Boing Boing post and NPR story about how break dancing is making a comeback. Alas, it is also one of the "lost posts," so I am reposting: Break dancing is back!

I was recently in Harvard Square and stopped to watch two groups of break dancers battle it out with each other and for the crowd’s affection (and donations). The Times story basically strikes a similar theme — kids from the Bronx are dancing to avoid dealing and go to public spots like Union Square or a Yankees Game to display their skills. Xeni Jardin's post/story on Boing Boing is about a recent underground hiphop dance competition in Los Angeles.
